Livery Software

We’ve already talked a bit about Livery Tech, our taxi management software solution that integrates with our GPS tracking software and dashcam to create a total fleet management solution.

At LAP Commercial Insurance Company, we provide Livery Tech as a benefit to our commercial auto insurance customers. Thus far, we’ve merely skimmed the surface of our tech’s capabilities, and now it’s time to dive deeper into one of Livery Tech’s most popular features: Livery dispatch software.

What is Livery Dispatch Software?

Livery software or taxi dispatch software is a critical tool in our digital world. It connects drivers and customers using automation, creating a seamless dispatch process that is highly efficient.

There are numerous livery dispatch software solutions on the market. What the software can do is contingent upon the solution you choose as well as the features you want to deploy. However, there are basic features that you should look for when shopping for a taxi software solution. We recommend choosing a solution that:

  1. Is scalable. You want a solution that can grow with you. Our software can help you manage small fleets or large-scale fleets.
  2. Is manageable by admins, drivers, and customers via different platforms. The whole point of dispatch automation is to connect the multiple people integral to keeping your company afloat. If a software management system can’t connect your dispatch team to drivers and customers, there’s no point in using that solution.
  3. Provides in-depth reporting. Reporting can help reduce risk and improve driver behavior.
  4. Functions as an all-in-one solution that streamlines dispatch, bookings, and schedulings. Without an all-in-one system, you’re left trying to piece different solutions together, which is inefficient and difficult.

Livery Tech’s Livery Software Solution

LAP’s software solution addresses all of the necessities mentioned above and more. Our solution is scalable, manageable, provides reporting, and streamlines dispatch, bookings, and scheduling. Beyond that, there are other features worth noting.

1. Automated Dispatch

Our livery software solution doesn’t just dispatch; it’s built on intelligent automation. The user-friendly interface can allocate jobs based on your pre-defined rules. For example, you can set the system to assign the closest car to your customer, create zones, or use a FIFO (first in, first out) system for dispatch. In short, you have control over the dispatch process. If you prefer total control, you can turn intelligent automation off and ask your dispatchers to manually verify all bookings.

2. Tracking Solutions

Our Livery Tech Taxi Management software also integrates with our GPS Tracking Platform. The integration reduces dead mileage and assists in managing logistics, reducing overhead, and in the end, saves you money.

3. Bookings

Livery Tech Taxi Management also includes various ways that customers can book. They can use the customer-facing app, book through Facebook, or the web portal.

The customer interface includes text responses, animated maps, fare estimates, and estimated pick-up times, creating a positive experience that helps you to solidify that all-important customer relationship.

Customers can also use the app to rate drivers, view driver ratings, pay for their ride, and access digital receipts.

On your end, when a customer books using the portal, the booking appears in your dispatch console. As discussed above, what happens next will depend on your settings. Your dispatchers can verify the dispatch manually or set the process to run automatically, using one of your pre-defined rules.

4. Reporting

Finally, our livery software solution makes it easy for your admins to manage it all. The solution includes invoicing, payment records, job tracking, and more. Plus, when you integrate the solution with our GPS software, you have access to remote management, fleet tracking, and asset tracking, creating a data-rich experience.

Does Livery Dispatch Software Impact Insurance Rates?

While we provide technology to our customers as a benefit, using the technology does not directly impact your taxi insurance rates. However, according to LAP President Wayne Pohida, there are several indirect benefits, including the use of data analytics to reduce risk.
